CyberPunk Druid

A hermit in his subterranean maze of labs, he is busily working on a vital water-purifying system for the city. The cavernous hallways between high-ceiling rooms are dim. These lab-rooms are chock-full of high-tech gadgets and all possible detectors to monitor the health of the decaying city. The many monitors blind with their informative buzz, much alike the city atop. He doesn't quite like the term "dystopia", yet ceaselessly watches "Blade Runner".
He doesn't quite like your presence, because your powerful aura disturbs his critical thinking. If it wasn't for his lush and extravagant collection of orchids grown under artificial lights, you might have felt unwelcome... In fact, there are many plants growing seemingly without control in this sunless place; many have entwined tightly with the overwhelming amount of cables and screens. Almost playfully, a spider plant has grown through an exhausted gas mask. The druid likes to tease his favourite Mimosa pudica when he needs to focus. Occasionally, he gets up and simply stares at his ferns and mosses, in search of inspiration. When he passes closely, some of his unbelievable plants light up and reach toward him. He pets them gently and lovingly, as they change colours. He has an easy connection with the silent living, but he never quite agreed with the loud citizens from the world above... He communicates with them through computers, if need be.
Strange noises come and go, and you wonder if he ever notices them engorged in his research as he is. Yet, if some indicator/machine beeps out of tact, he checks them, jotting down some values on one of the computers. He flinches when he walks too brusquely, as his bionic leg is ill-adjusted, and he is still getting used to it.
