Deep Space, My Love
"You have shown me your space, now let me show you mine," Sherlock says to you, smiling softly as he brings you into his area of the TARDIS.
You cannot hear the innerworkings of the TARDIS here, it seems, and it feels as though you are on another planet entirely. Towering emerald green, deep purple, and sapphire blue palm trees stretch overhead, seeming to go up for ages against a brilliant orange and yellow sky, as if in a perpetual sunset.
"Sherlock, I-" you begin, almost at an utter loss for words. "It's absolutely gorgeous, simply marvellous, I cannot begin to describe how I feel for this place, I-"
Sherlock smiles wider still, taking your hand in his and pulls you further into the forest. "Listen to it all, Liam, listen!"
Taking his word, you stop and close your eyes, listening to it all. To the wonderful music, one that reminds you of something spectacular, but you cannot remember what or why; to the woodpeckers pecking, how usual, or to the unusual sounds of what must be alien birds. Every so often a ship wooshes by, and it startles you, but each time you jump, you immediately feel Sherlock's hand in yours, squeezing it tight to reassure you.
"Isn't it lovely?"
"It is lovely beyond words, my dear."
