Similar to Star Wars' Smuggler's Moon of Nar Shaddaa, ages ago I had the idea of a Pirate's Moon, a lawless city planet ruled by the captains and admirals of powerful space pirate fleets. And of course a space Pirate port needs a tropical climate and parrot-like aliens. And Space Rum!
