The Great Empty
The bombs fell generations ago. Few are left who remember what the world was like before, save for those tumor-ridden horrors too unfortunate to die from the radiation. They say that the world was cast in an unending winter, and that this atomic summer is what followed, killing most life on the planet. Some say that the whispers and howls heard upon the wind are the souls of those who died, forever claimed by the wasteland... more likely it's just wild animals that have mutated over generations of exposure to the ambient radiation. So remember before you go out there, check your suit, make sure that your charcoal filter is working, and try to keep your mask on for as much as possible... it might be uncomfortable but you get used to it after a while.
